Meet the Board 

   

Nirav K. Desai (President):  Nirav serves as a judicial law clerk to a Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.  He previously served as a judicial law clerk to a Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  Prior to his work with the federal judiciary, Nirav was a litigation attorney with a prominent, regional law firm based in Sacramento.  Nirav, who is a Sacramento native, earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  Nirav can be reached at nkdesai@gmail.com.


Latika Sharma (Treasurer): Latika is an associate at Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP. She received her B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 2001.  In 2007, Latika received her Juris Doctorate from UC Davis. While in law school, Latika served as an editor for the Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy and as the co- chair for Advocates Right for Children.   Latika can be reached at lsharma@wilkefleury.com.

Robindeep Basra (Secretary):  Robin is a litigation associate at Porter Scott, a Professional Corporation.  Robin obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics from UC San Diego and his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  Robin can be reached at: rbasra@porterscott.com.

Tej Grewal (Member at Large):  Tej is an associate with Anwyl, Scoffield & Stepp in Sacramento.  He received his undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacramento and his juris doctor and LLM in  Transnational Business Practices at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  His prior experience includes a post bar clerkship with Honorable Judge R. Harveen Gill (Student Liaison):  Harveen is currently a second year law student at UC Davis School of Law. During the summer after her first year, Harveen participated in the Sacramento County Diversity Fellowship Program where she was worked as a summer association with Downey Brand LLP. In addition to her studies, Harveen is also the President of the Middle Eastern South Asian Law Students Association at UC Davis.
